Qin Luyao (秦璐瑶) is a journalist, videographer, and photographer based in Beijing, China.

Luyao’s career began as a photo editor at Visual China Group—the country’s largest photo agency and the exclusive partner of Getty Images in China. This experience sparked her passion for photography and inspired her to create her own visual stories.

She later worked as a video journalist for China Daily Hong Kong, China’s largest English-language newspaper, where she produced multimedia stories on a wide range of topics. Her work focuses on feminism, significant social issues, culture, and economic shifts across Mainland China, Hong Kong, and Tokyo.

She holds a dual bachelor’s degree in Tourism Management and English from Tianjin Foreign Studies University and a master’s degree in International Journalism from Hong Kong Baptist University.

She currently works independently, focusing on self-initiated projects and continually exploring new creative directions in photography and storytelling.
